About the Academy
The Correctional Education Academy is built on more than 25 years of correctional education, workforce development, and second-chance work. Its training comes straight from classrooms run through Houston City College, Lee College, and Alvin Community College, inside both county jail and Texas Department of Criminal Justice settings, and from national correctional education program auditing.
The Academy is a program of the EntrepreneuHER Reentry Program, a nonprofit that helps justice-impacted women build new futures through entrepreneurship and workforce development.
It exists to give every new educator, volunteer, and program professional the preparation most of us wish we'd had on our own first day.
